Join the Shorewood BID as they team up with the Shorewood Public Art Committee for the inaugural Shorewood Art Walk on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 5-8pm. Stroll along the business district and stop in your favorite local businesses as they come alive with creativity, showcasing artwork, hosting local performance artists, and celebrating the talent that enriches our community.
Enjoy an evening of culture, conversation, shopping, and connection — everyone is welcome, free to attend!
Calling all Shorewood artists!
We are seeking both 2D/3D visual artwork and performing artists (music, poetry, dance) to participate in this event!
The applications are meant to gather information from artists interested in participating and willing to partner with a local business for the event.
Guidelines:
The committee will match artists with Shorewood businesses, and selection is dependent upon available space.
Visual artists must provide display equipment, such an an easel or stand, if wall space is not available in their matched business.
For performing art, artists may be performing on sidewalks or inside businesses, often with limited space. Please be sure to describe what space you may need in order to perform. No stage, technical equipment, or setup will be provided.
All art should be appropriate for all-ages viewing, as this is a family-friendly event. As such, all ages are invited to submit artwork for consideration.
In addition to the opening night walk, visual art will remain on display in the business for a duration of 1 month after the event, giving the community a longer time to come and view the pieces.
No compensation will be provided to businesses or to artists.
Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to the dates.
