SHOREWOOD VILLAGE HALL ART GALLERY
The Village of Shorewood Public Art Committee is proud to offer a rotating Art Gallery display program for the interest and enlightenment of our community. Located in the lobby of the Village Hall (3930 N Murray Ave, Shorewood, WI 53211), the gallery space is available for local artists to display their work to share with the community.
Current featured artist: Erin Joslyn
From Erin: “This work uses distinctive, imaginary flowers as a metaphor for diversity. I work in an unusual medium - alcohol ink. The rich, translucent color is achieved with this particular type of ink – a relatively new medium that I have worked with almost exclusively for the past 15 years. Each image is composed of anywhere from 10 to 30 individually sealed layers. I often describe my process as ‘painting with layers of colored light.’”
Community
As we enter the second year of the gallery program, the Public Arts Committee has chosen an overarching subject of “Community.” We hope that the art displayed brings people together, opens discussions, and makes all feel welcome.
For each quarter, we welcome artists to submit pieces that fit the following community-inspired themes:
Fall 2025: Togetherness
Winter 2026: Resilience
Spring 2026: Diversity
Summer 2026: Empathy
